This is the 2nd wine of Château Olivier one of Bordeaux oldest Châteaux. It is born on the same vineyard, raised and vinified by Chateau Olivier’s team. Le Dauphin d’Olivier is reminiscent of its older sibling by its balance and finesse, typical of Bordeaux’s “grand vins”. The 2015 is an excellent forward drinking vintage and this wine typifies that style and is utterly delicious now. In your glass, it is ruby red leading to a nose that is initially smoked but develops aromas of red fruits, blackcurrants and minerals. The attack is precise and the mouth is long and intense. The wine combines aromatic and tannic richness perfectly.
