It floods the palate with textures of pure velvet, yet the feel is medium-bodied, as ripe red berries mingle with saline minerals to add balancing tension. Just when I think it’s going to clamp down hard, the 2017 instead provides a pleasant burst of inner sweetness that mingles with a saturation of tannins, helping to soften the blow. This is rockstar juice, but for the best effect, make sure to cellar it for a few years.
