Villa Creek Cellars 'Maha' Before Anyone Else, Adelaida District, USA 2021
The 100% Clairette from this estate, the 2021 Before Anyone Else is rocking stuff and reminds me of some of the top whites from Châteauneuf du Pape. Tart pineapple, caramelized citrus, white flowers, and ample chalky mineral notes emerge on the nose, and it’s medium-bodied, with plenty of richness and depth on the mid-palate, terrific balance, and a great finish. It should have 3-5 years of longevity, but I see no need todelay gratification.
