This is from a selection of vineyards in Altamira, planted on sandy soils that have a strong calcareous component. It was aged for 14 months in barrels, 20% new. This is a textbook version of the wines from this zone, with the strong presence of that floral side accompanied by ripe red fruits and herbs. The palate is friendly and juicy with herbal and mentholated tones and a layer of tannins that are fine but also very sharp. A very elegant version from Altamira.
