This was an early and hot year. Lots of autumn rain allowed for good noble rot development but less shrivelled berries, so it is a more Sauternes style vintage. It’s limpid pale golden in colour but still a touch closed on the nose, with vanilla oak, ripe peach and a twist of orange zest. To taste, it has a lovely rich, velvety texture, with notes of peach and orange blossom backed by intense vibrant acidity and good structure.
