Chateau de la Maltroye La Comme Rouge, Santenay Premier Cru, France 2022

Here the cooler and more reticent nose is at once more elegant and a more layered while grudgingly displays its nose of the essence of red cherry, raspberry and soft spice wisps. I very much like the texture of the stony and well-detailed medium-bodied flavors that are like rolling a small pebble around the mouth on the clean, dry, balanced and youthfully austere finale. Understated and lovely.
