Beatrice et Pascal Lambert Chinon 'Cuvee Mathilde' Rose, Loire, France 2023

Beatrice and Pascal plough the rows between the vines, planting different cover crops each year to assist with their biodynamic preparations while giving back nutrients, never adding any chemical inputs to the soil. This mineral-driven rose is succulently full of notes of ripe summer red berries and a touch of green herbs. Grapes were harvested by hand before being pressed in a pneumatic press, before fermentation and five months of ageing in steel.
