The 2023 Chiroubles from Domaine Lafarge-Vial is a beautiful young wine. It offers up a simply superb bouquet of red and black cherries, sweet cranberries, pigeon, stony soil tones, coffeebean and a topnote of distant bonfire. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and tangy inpersonality, with a great core of fruit, superb mineral drive and grip, moderate tannins and a long, complex and impeccably balanced finish. This is one of the few Cru Beaujolais from 2023 that isreally going to drink exceptionally well right from the moment of release, but will also age longand gracefully. A great bottle of Chiroubles! 2025-2050.
